Under the motto "Pro Original - Comprehensively protect products sell only originals worldwide", KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG ,together with other project partners, fights the product pirates.

Product piracy threatens the innovation strength of German machine builders and therefore the competitiveness and workplaces. The machine tool industry as worldwide technology leader is more and more affected. Copies are made of components, spare parts and complete machines. Medium-sized companies with numerous innovations and further developments are in need of a comprehensive approach to solve the problem.

KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG a project partner in the "ProOriginal" project, supported by BMBF, participates in the configuration and the optimization of a comprehensive product protection. The goal is to create optimal measures to enable companies to implement cost-benefit effective product protection.

The consortium of project "ProOriginal" is made up of companies of different industries to ensure that all links of the added value chain are represented in product protection. The project partners are Festo AG & Co. KG, Deckel Maho Pfronten GmbH, Siemens AG, ProCom GmbH, Weiss GmbH, Patentinformationszetnrum (PIZ), VDW - Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken e.V. and PTW - Institut für Produktionsmanagement, Technologie und Werkzeugmaschinen of the TU Darmstadt.
